PB2 is powdered peanut butter. It is made with quality peanuts that are slow-roasted and then pressed to remove the fat. You mix 2 TBSP of the powder with 1 TBSP of water and the result is peanut butter that is the texture and taste most similar to a natural peanut butter.
The biggest difference is in the nutrition facts. Pictured below is the label of Skippy Reduced Fat Creamy Peanut Butter and PB2’s nutritional label. 180 calories/12 g fat/ 2 sat. fat/ 7 g protein (Skippy) versus 45 calories/1.5 g fat/0 sat. fat/ 5 g protein (PB2) per 2 TBSP. I have enjoyed PB2 on a PB&J, with an apple as a snack, and in banana PB oatmeal. I would not forego buying my Skippy Reduced Fat moving forward, but I certainly am pro keeping this around. Additionally, a chocolate PB2 flavor is available. I encourage you to give PB2 a go. You can find it at your local grocery store for around $5/ jar (15 servings). I have located it at Giant Food Store as well as WholeFoods so far. Hope you’ll enjoy it!
Sounds like a great thing to add into my shakes instead of jus a scoop of peanut butter
Totally give it a try! I wonder if the chocolate PB2 with almond milk and banana might be yummy??
I add it to my protein shakes with coconut milk.. I use both the regular and the chocolate peanut butter.. it’s really good:) I added your post to mine regarding pb2
